Though Balthazar has a high science, he still was not able to protect Manhattan, the city where he lived from Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina), a large enemy Balthazar. Balthazar did not like that tend to use his powers for good, Maxim prefers to use its power to satisfy his personal desires.
Aware that he would have lost if the fight with Maxim Direct, Balthazar and then search for students who could help him beat Maxim and his friends. Options and then fell to Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), an ordinary young man who appears to have potential.
